A 20-year-old Italian man has been arrested by the Carabinieri in Bardolino for aggravated theft, receiving stolen goods, and resisting a public official. The young man is suspected of committing several thefts in the same night across various locations around Lake Garda, including a restaurant in Bardolino and a fruit and vegetable shop. The authorities intervened after receiving reports of break-ins, and while attempting to flee on a motorcycle without a license, he was apprehended and arrested.
During the operation, the young man was found in possession of approximately 300 euros obtained from the thefts, as well as a stolen mobile phone and jacket previously taken in Pescantina and Garda. It was revealed that he was already subject to a detention order from the Juvenile Court of Trento for a previous crime of receiving stolen goods committed in 2021. Additionally, he faced charges for driving without a license and possession of drugs for personal use.
