A 24-year-old Dominican man was arrested in Vobarno, situated between Salò and Vobarno, following a series of violent behaviors that occurred on July 25, 2024. The young man, who is homeless and already known to the police, was seen headbutting traffic signs and brandishing a utility knife in a threatening manner. After being initially calmed down by the officers and released on bail, he resumed his vandalistic actions, even attempting to climb onto several vehicles.
The situation escalated when the young man attacked the carabinieri who were trying to detain him, causing injuries to one of the officers. As a result, the judge validated the arrest and ordered pre-trial detention in prison for resisting arrest and other offenses. The 24-year-old spent the night in a holding cell prior to yesterday morning’s hearing.
