A 38-year-old man of Egyptian origin was arrested in Desenzano del Garda while traveling on a high-speed train bound for Venice. The arrest took place during a routine check carried out by railway police officers, who became suspicious of the man’s behavior.
After stopping the man for a routine check, the officers discovered that he was wanted for an eight-month prison sentence for robbery. His identity was verified and confirmed by the authorities, leading to his immediate arrest.
The man was no stranger to law enforcement. He was known to be involved in several thefts that occurred on trains passing through the Lake Garda area. This further justified the swift and decisive intervention by the officers.
Following the identity verification and subsequent arrest, the 38-year-old was handcuffed and taken to the Brescia prison, where he will serve the sentence imposed by the conviction. This operation represents an important step in the fight against crimes committed on public transportation in the Lake Garda region. You can read more about the news here.
