The diving partner provided assistance to the woman, allowing her to safely resurface and brought her to shore, where emergency services were called via the emergency number 112. Upon arrival, medical personnel provided the necessary care to the woman, who had since recovered from the illness.
It is hypothesized that the diver experienced arterial gas embolism, one of the leading causes of death for divers. Fortunately, her condition was stabilized, and she was transported by helicopter to Città di Brescia Hospital with a yellow code, indicating that she was not in life-threatening danger.
