The Giacomo Marcati ODV Association has donated a neonatal resuscitator to the Pediatrics department of the Desenzano Hospital. The initiative was gratefully received by the General Director of ASST Garda, Roberta Chiesa, the Medical Director Pietro Imbrogno, the Head of the Pediatrics and Neonatology Unit in Desenzano Donatella Cattarelli, and the nursing coordinator Elena Volpi.
The association was founded a few years ago to honor the memory of Giacomo Marcati, a young real estate professional who passed away in 2021. His family and friends decided to continue his charitable work by supporting various organizations in the Lombardy region.
The General Director of ASST Garda expressed gratitude to the Association and highlighted that this is not the first time they have received such a generous gesture. The donated neonatal resuscitator is a state-of-the-art tool that allows for proper management of emergencies and special attention to newborns with cardiorespiratory problems. Additionally, it provides increased safety for healthcare personnel.
The Director of Pediatrics and Neonatology in Desenzano expressed her gratitude for the donation, explaining that this equipment allows them to follow international guidelines for the management of newborns requiring resuscitation maneuvers at birth.
