The X-Bionic Lake Garda 42 is a running event that will take place from April 12th to 14th, 2024. The event offers two different routes along Lake Garda, a 42-kilometer one from Limone to Malcesine and a 21-kilometer one from Arco. Additionally, there will also be a kids’ race called LG KIDS in Riva del Garda.
The marathon starts in Limone sul Garda and follows the famous Gardesana road. Participants will run along the northern shores of the lake, passing through orchards and reaching Arco. From there, the route continues towards Torbole, where family and spectators can cheer on the runners. Finally, participants will arrive in Malcesine, admiring the Scaliger Castle along the way.
The half marathon starts in Arco and follows a route that passes through Torbole and the panoramic tunnels before reaching Malcesine.
The event also includes an exhibition area, a food area, side events, and a dedicated spectator zone. The natural beauty of Lake Garda with its surrounding mountains completes the running experience.
The event program includes the opening of the exhibition area and the race packet pick-up on Friday and Saturday. The kids’ race will take place on Saturday afternoon. On Sunday morning, the main races will start, followed by an award ceremony in Malcesine.
It is expected that the roads along the routes will be closed for approximately 30 minutes during the passage of the runners. However, Riva del Garda will still be accessible via a new road connection.
The X-Bionic Lake Garda 42 offers participants the opportunity to run in a spectacular environment and enjoy the beauty of Lake Garda while challenging themselves on demanding routes.
