Site visit to the Garda Cycle Path, Riva del Garda
Today, the visit to the construction works of Functional Unit 1.2 of the Garda Cycle Path took place, as announced on March 26th at the Riva del Garda City Council. The Mayor, councilors, and municipal council members were accompanied by the President of the Province, the extraordinary commissioner for the project Francesco Misdaris, the general manager of the Department of Infrastructure Luciano Martorano, and the geologist Claudio Valle, consultant to Commissioner Misdaris for the Cycle Path.
During the site visit, the technical details of the project were explained. The different construction phases of the tunnels were observed, both the existing ones that have been reinforced and the new ones that have been built to mitigate the impact of large rocks. A section has been created to allow the passage of emergency vehicles, and the external facades of the tunnels are being camouflaged in various shades of gray to blend in with the surrounding rocks. Additionally, both the new and existing tunnels will be adorned with artistic decorations designed by architect Ferrari.
