A dog named Aron ended up in the Chiese River and was rescued by the Fire Department. The animal was in distress, pushed by the current against a cleaning grate. At 5 p.m. on Friday, April 26, a team from the Brescia Provincial Fire Department was dispatched to the town of Calcinato to rescue the dog.
The water rescue team retrieved Aron and handed him over to the veterinarian at a nearby shelter for treatment.
The incident occurred when the dog ventured too close to the canal and, due to the strong current, was swept towards the cleaning grate. Fortunately, thanks to the timely intervention of the Fire Department, the animal was saved and brought to safety.
The Fire Department responded with a specialized river operations team. Wearing appropriate gear, they plunged into the water to reach the dog and free it from the critical situation it was in.
Once retrieved from the river, Aron was immediately taken to the veterinarian to receive necessary care. Thanks to the prompt action of the authorities and the efforts of the rescuers, the animal was able to be saved without suffering any damage or injuries.
The Brescia Provincial Fire Department emphasized the importance of paying attention to one’s pets and avoiding dangerous situations like this. It is crucial to keep dogs on a leash when they are near bodies of water or risky areas, to ensure their safety and prevent accidents.
