On Wednesday, May 15th at 9:00 PM, the sixth edition of the VOICES | HYBRITUDE Music festival will take place at the MITA Centro Culturale in Brescia. On this occasion, the artist Massimo Silverio from Carnia will perform his show “Hrudja”.
“Hrudja: a sonic journey between ancient and contemporary”
Hrudja is the debut album of Massimo Silverio, an artist recommended by Iggy Pop on the BBC radio show Slow Sunday. This album has been hailed as one of the standout records of 2023 and is characterized by a unique combination of poetry and melodies that blend ancient and contemporary, popular and refined, acoustic, electro-acoustic, and electronic.
Using instruments such as cello, double bass, prepared percussion, piano, guzla, synthesizers, guitars, and organs, Massimo Silverio creates electro-acoustic and electronic sounds with influences from folk, post-rock, and drone music. His evocative voice recalls the influences of artists like Jónsi, Thom Yorke, and Bon Iver.
The concert will feature Massimo Silverio (voice, guitar, cello), Nicholas Remondino (prepared percussion), Manuel Volpe (bass synth, organ, sampler), and Matteo Rizzo (sound engineer).
