The Regional Council of Veneto has recently approved new measures to support agricultural companies in preventing damages caused by wildlife. With Resolution No. 234/24 of March 13, 2024, a total of 500,000 euros has been allocated to finance interventions aimed at protecting agricultural and livestock productions, particularly against large carnivores.
The available funds amount to a total of 500,000 euros. Applications must be submitted by the deadline of June 15, 2024.
The aid intensity is set at 100% of the eligible expenses, with a maximum amount per application of 5,000 euros. This means that farmers can obtain full funding for the necessary equipment to protect their activities.
The beneficiaries of these funds include farmers defined by Article 4 of Regulation (EU) 1307/2013 and private individuals who meet specific eligibility criteria. The eligible interventions include various types of fences and deterrents, such as semi-permanent electric fences, net or wire fences, mobile electric fences with synthetic supports, fixed metal fences with or without electrification, and acoustic and/or luminous deterrents.
The deadline for submitting applications is June 15, 2024.
