Kevin Maccarinelli, a fourth-year student at the “Caterina de’ Medici” hotel institute in Gardone Riviera, has won the jury prize at the national competition “Junior Espresso Masters,” organized by the Coffee University and Illy. The final took place in Trieste, where Kevin surpassed the preliminary round by preparing a coffee and a cappuccino, earning a special mention for his cocktail “Wo die Zitronen blühn.” This drink, inspired by the German writer Goethe’s journey in the Garda region, contains coffee, citrus extract, and other ingredients, and was particularly appreciated for its historical narrative.
Currently, Kevin is participating in a school-work alternation program at the Grand Hotel Villa Feltrinelli in Gargnano. This practical experience in a five-star luxury establishment represents another step in his educational journey towards excellence in the hospitality and restaurant industry. His skills and dedication have already shown remarkable results, promising a bright future in the career he has chosen.
