The evening of July 23, 2024 promises to be memorable for fans of contemporary classical music. The amphitheater of the Vittoriale degli Italiani will host the concert of talented composer and pianist Giulia Mazzoni, who will perform for the first time on this prestigious stage, accompanied by the YAS String Quintet.
The event will be an opportunity to present the world premiere of Giulia Mazzoni’s new musical project entitled “YAS Your Anima System.” This unique performance will see the artist perform unreleased pieces with a lineup consisting of piano, string quintet, and electronic interventions. Percussion elements will also be included, making the show a complete and innovative sonic experience.
In addition to the new pieces, the concert will include tracks from the artist’s previous albums, such as “Giocando con i bottoni” and “Room 2401,” as well as the song “Wildness” from the soundtrack of Marco Amenta’s film “Anna,” presented at the Venice Film Festival in 2023. The evening promises not only music but also emotional images projected on screens overlooking the lake, personally selected by the artist to further enrich the audience’s experience.
Giulia Mazzoni has built an impressive career thanks to her training at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan and collaborations with international artists such as Michael Nyman. Her concerts in China and collaborations with important opera theaters testify to her global success. Her social commitment has been recognized with awards such as the Ciampi, highlighting her cultural as well as musical impact.
