Lake Garda is preparing to host a culturally significant event. On June 9, 2024, Paolo Crepet will stop with his show conference “Prendetevi La Luna” at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera (BS). This event is part of the summer tour of the renowned Italian psychiatrist, sociologist, educator, and essayist.
Crepet, speaking about his tour, shared profound reflections on the meaning of his mission: “I meet so many people, and I wonder what they could want from me,” Crepet recounts. “Certainly a guide, a hope, perhaps even a light that ignites the hearts of young and old. There is a thirst and hunger for words, for thought. They seek heresy in a codified world. I can only tell them what I have repeated to myself for years throughout my life: ‘Prendetevi la luna’ (Take the moon). Be ambitious, seek your uniqueness.”
During the show “Prendetevi La Luna,” Crepet addresses fundamental topics such as education, school, and family. His main goal is to offer tools to navigate through the difficulties of everyday life and keep hope alive. Speaking to both young people and adults, he suggests, “‘Prendetevi La Luna’ is not advice but a suggestion. It is valid not only in difficult moments but also in moments of joy.”
Crepet emphasizes the importance of cultivating dreams and ambitions even when circumstances seem adverse. He uses the poetic image of the moon to illustrate how human desire works best when one commits to seeking it even in the darkest moments: “The moon is there on purpose, it disappears and reappears precisely because if it were always there, it would be banal.”
