The general states of tourism in Lake Garda met over the weekend at the headquarters of the Garda Community in Salò. Chaired by Mariastella Gelmini, the meeting was attended by numerous tourism operators from the three shores of the lake. During the meeting, two main objectives were outlined: consolidating traditional European markets and expanding into new international markets, including China, the United States, and Arab countries. Additionally, an appeal was made to the government for the allocation of new funds necessary to ensure the safety of the waters of Lake Garda and the completion of the collector.
According to a recent survey by Federalberghi Brescia, over 15 million Italians will go on vacation in the month of June, generating a turnover of 10 billion euros. Alessandro Fantini, president of Federalberghi Brescia, emphasized that despite the decline in German tourists due to Germany’s economic difficulties, the increase in arrivals from other countries, particularly the United States, thanks to the promotional efforts of Visit Brescia, has offset this decrease. President Gelmini will soon meet with the Government Manager of Lake Navigation to discuss the development of water mobility and urge the completion of purification works on the Brescia shore.
