An accident occurred this morning on the A4 highway between Palazzolo and Rovato, causing the temporary closure of the section in the direction of Brescia. A vehicle overturned at kilometer 194+100, requiring the intervention of emergency services, the Fire Department, and the Highway Police. To allow for rescue operations and the restoration of the road, the Palazzolo, Ponte Oglio, and Grumello exits were closed in both directions, with mandatory exit at Seriate for those coming from Milan.
At 3 p.m., the highway section was reopened to traffic without any reported congestion. The accident caused significant disruptions to local traffic, but the situation is now under control with all lanes fully accessible again. An air ambulance also arrived on the scene to transport a person injured in the accident to the hospital with a yellow code.
