This morning, the new collaboration initiative between ASST Garda and Visit Desenzano was presented, aimed at providing healthcare services to Italian and foreign tourists staying at Lake Garda accommodations during the summer of 2024. The project focuses on protecting the health of tourists by offering non-emergency medical services that do not require access to the Emergency Room.
The main objectives of the collaboration include:
– Reducing inappropriate visits to the Emergency Departments of Gavardo and Desenzano.
– Providing healthcare services for non-urgent needs near the accommodations through the freelance regime.
– Offering safe and peaceful vacations to tourists of any nationality.
Services offered to tourists include:
1. Emergency Room App: The app allows family members to follow the patient’s care process in the Emergency Room, providing real-time information on the status of treatment.
2. Sampling Service: Foreign tourists can request sampling services at ASST Garda’s offices, with direct access and information available on the company’s website www.asst-garda.it.
3. Holiday Dialysis Service: Dialysis service is available at the Desenzano hospital, with shifts assisted by a nephrologist from Monday to Saturday, from 8 am to 8 pm. Reservations must be made via email at least two weeks before the start of the stay.
4. Scheduled Services: The opportunity to book specialized visits and instrumental services for tourists with non-urgent conditions through the freelance booking center, available from Monday to Friday, from 10 am to 4 pm.
The mission of the Emergency Room is to provide timely and appropriate responses and interventions to users of all ages for urgent and emergency issues. The user’s journey within the Emergency Room is divided into activities such as acceptance, triage, and medical, surgical, orthopedic, obstetric/gynecological, pediatric, and short-term intensive observation (OBI) ambulatory activities.
