The Suoni e Sapori del Garda Festival is back with its twelfth edition, offering a series of free musical events that will animate different locations around Lake Garda from July 6th to 8th, 2024. This annual event promises to provide a unique experience, combining quality music with beautiful local settings.
The festival will kick off on Saturday, July 6th at 9:15 pm at the Museum of Salò (Mu.Sa), where Barbara Lorenzato and Manolo Soldera, accompanied by the Infonote Pop Ensemble, will present the show “Influencer Musicali degli Ultimi 20 Anni” (Musical Influencers of the Last 20 Years). Admission will be free until seats are filled, with tickets distributed starting at 8 pm on the same evening.
The concert is a tribute to the artists who have shaped the musical trends of the past two decades. From Vivaldi to David Bowie, the event aims to celebrate those who have influenced not only music but also cultural and artistic trends among younger generations.
On Sunday, July 7th, at the break of dawn, precisely at 6 am, the Municipal Pier of Porto in San Felice del Benaco will host the Quartetto di tromboni dell’Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana (Italian Philharmonic Orchestra Trombone Quartet) for a concert entitled “Trombone Portraits.” Alberto Pedretti, Valentino Spaggiari, Matteo Del Miglio, and Stefano Belotti will explore the various sonic nuances of the trombone through a diverse repertoire ranging from symphonic jazz to 1970s English pop.
This event represents an unmissable opportunity to appreciate the versatility of the trombone in an intimate and evocative setting like the sunrise over the lake.
The festival will conclude on Monday, July 8th, at 9:15 pm at Lido Campanello in Castelnuovo del Garda with the show “Imagine” by Elena Giardina & Friends. Accompanied by Andrea Pollione on keyboards, Carmelo Isgrò on bass, Rino Di Pace on drums, and the Archimia String Quartet, Elena Giardina will offer a performance of pop melodies reinterpreted in an intimate and refined way.
Giardina is a talented singer from Bologna whose career has been influenced by great names in blues, jazz, and soul music. Her collaborations with artists such as Biagio Antonacci and Laura Pausini testify to her versatility and experience in the Italian music scene.
The Suoni e Sapori del Garda Festival stands out for being an itinerant circuit that involves numerous municipalities overlooking the lake, including Calvagese della Riviera, Desenzano del Garda, Gardone Riviera, and many others. The artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Serafino Tedesi with the support of the Infonote cultural association.
Thanks to the supervision of the Comunità del Garda for institutional and administrative coordination, this event represents an important cultural showcase for the entire Garda territory.
