The recent renewal of the Board of Directors of Visit Brescia marks a significant transition in the management of tourism in the province of Brescia for the three-year period 2024-2027. The Assembly of members of the Brescia Chamber of Commerce has confirmed Graziano Pennacchio as the CEO, a position he will hold for a third consecutive term, while Eugenio Massetti has been appointed as the new President, succeeding Marco Polettini. Andrea Maggioni has been designated as Vice President.
New Appointments and Continuity
The new board introduces several significant changes. Eugenio Massetti, an entrepreneur in the publishing sector and a prominent figure in Confartigianato, takes on the presidency with the aim of steering the organization toward new growth prospects. Alongside him, Andrea Maggioni, who has extensive experience in the tourism sector around Lake Garda, assumes the vice presidency with specific responsibility for the Lake Garda area.
At the same time, elements of continuity are maintained, such as the confirmation of Graziano Pennacchio in the role of CEO. Pennacchio, a hotelier with a long-standing background in the industry, has already led Visit Brescia during the previous two terms, contributing to achieving significant results for Brescia’s tourism sector.
Strategic Objectives and Future Challenges
The new Board aims to consolidate the successes achieved, with particular attention to strengthening Brescia’s and its province’s destination reputation. In recent years, the province has experienced significant growth in tourist flows, attracting not only European visitors but also tourists from high-potential non-European markets, such as North America and the United Arab Emirates.
To maintain and enhance these results, the new board will focus on a strategy that involves the active participation of tourism sector operators. Dialogue with hoteliers, travel agencies, local consortia, and other industry entities will be essential to create a shared program that can offer new commercial opportunities for the Brescia area.
Sustainable and Inclusive Tourism
One of the central aspects of the new governance will be the promotion of authentic, sustainable, and inclusive tourism. President Massetti emphasized the importance of coordinating all sector players to grow in value and quality, supporting a tourism model that enhances the wealth of the Brescia territory. This approach aims to provide unique experiences for visitors while simultaneously promoting a stronger and more integrated local economy.
