The road to the Valley of the Paper Mills in Toscolano Maderno has been reopened to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic following a landslide that occurred on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The closure took place around 11:30 AM due to debris falling from the slope near the second tunnel, in the Quattro Ruote area, not far from the Center of Excellence in Maina Inferiore.
The local administration has announced that inspections have been completed with positive results and expressed gratitude to the Local Police, geologist Giovanni Bembo, Civil Protection, and the maintenance team for their prompt intervention and collaboration. The reopening of the road allows access once again to an area of historical and natural interest.
