The Garda Tunnel project has arrived in Brussels, where Member of the European Parliament Mariateresa Vivaldini (FdI) has launched a campaign to secure European funding. During a meeting at the European Parliament, Vivaldini emphasized the importance of improving transportation in the area, highlighting how the current Gardesana road has become a bottleneck for both residents and tourists. The goal is to address the connectivity issues around the lake by constructing a tunnel that bypasses the most problematic areas.
Vivaldini also announced the planning of a working meeting with local mayors and relevant institutions to discuss concrete solutions. Among these solutions is the acceleration of work on a new tunnel north of Gargnano and the development of alternative routes based on proposals previously formulated by the Province of Brescia. This project aims not only to enhance the quality of life in the region but also to support the growing tourism in the area.
