A 67-year-old German tourist suffered a cardiac arrest this morning, September 8, at the Fraglia Vela sailing club in Malcesine, located on Lake Garda in the Verona region. The man fell ill while retrieving his boat after participating in a competition the day before.
He was promptly assisted by the club staff and paramedics from Suem, who revived him on-site and transported him in critical condition to Borgo Trento Hospital via the Verona Emergenza helicopter. Fortunately, he is not reported to be in life-threatening condition. Carabinieri from the Radiomobile unit of Caprino were also present at the scene of the incident.
