In Manerba del Garda, the “Lego Houses” project came to life on September 30, 2024, transforming properties confiscated from the mafia into educational centers for young people. The initiative, a result of the cooperative La Sorgente and supported by the Bank of Italy and Garda Vita, also extends to Rivoltella and Padenghe. The spaces have been adapted to offer creative workshops and academic support, with activities ranging from painting to 3D design.
The Casa della Legalità in Manerba serves as a hub for active citizenship and is dedicated to the memory of Emanuele Riboli, a young victim of the ‘ndrangheta. In addition to practical workshops, the project includes “Garda in carta,” an educational board game that explores the history of Lake Garda through historical events and local legends. With a total funding of 15,000 euros, the initiative aims to engage more and more young people in the recovery of assets confiscated from organized crime.
