Public Meeting in Bagolino on Large Carnivores
Bagolino will host a public meeting on October 26 to discuss the presence of wolves and bears in the mountains of Brescia, following recent bear attacks, including one that occurred on October 19 near Bleggio Superiore. The event will take place at 8:30 PM in the municipal hall located at via Parrocchia 34 and aims to explore the social implications of the growing population of these large carnivores, which has already begun to affect agricultural and hunting activities in the area.
Among the speakers will be Michele Corti, president of the National Association for the Protection of the Environment and Rural Life; Stefano Guolo from the Orgogliosamente Trentini group; and Giovanni Todaro, a naturalist journalist. There will also be contributions from representatives of local hunting associations, making the meeting an important opportunity for dialogue on an increasingly relevant issue for the community.
