The Municipal Administration of Pozzolengo has filed an appeal with the Regional Administrative Court (TAR) against the authorization granted by the Province of Brescia for the construction of a ground-mounted photovoltaic plant. The project, proposed by the Milanese company Garda Solare srl, involves the installation on a 64,000 square meter area of agricultural land, currently cultivated with alfalfa and located near the residential area. The Administration has stated that this action is not against renewable energy, but aims to protect the interests of the local community.
The appeal is supported by over 500 citizens who oppose the facility, highlighting the importance of protecting agricultural land and the need to ensure real benefits for the community. The Administration is also committed to creating a Renewable Energy Community and is seeking alternative areas for the installation of photovoltaic panels, while keeping the dialogue open with industry operators regarding practices such as agrivoltaics, always respecting the environment and local traditions.
