In the eleventh edition of the annual “Quality of Life” survey conducted by the Giornale di Brescia, Valtènesi and Sirmione have excelled at the top of the provincial rankings. The municipalities of Padenghe sul Garda and Moniga del Garda secured first place in their respective categories, with Padenghe leading among communities with a population between 4,000 and 8,000 inhabitants, and Moniga topping the list for those with a population between 2,000 and 4,000 inhabitants. Sirmione claimed second place among municipalities with over 8,000 residents, while Soiano del Lago achieved the same position in the category for communities with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants.
The survey analyzes various economic, social, environmental, and cultural indicators to assess the well-being of the local population, thereby providing a comprehensive overview of the livability of the Brescia areas. Among the criteria used are population dynamics, land consumption, active businesses, average per capita income, and transport accessibility, along with data on associations and general crime rates in 2023.
