Today, Wednesday the 6th, Toscolano Maderno will celebrate Giulia Conti, the sailor who triumphed in the first women’s edition of the America’s Cup with the Luna Rossa team. The tribute ceremony will take place at 6:00 PM in the Sala Consiliare Fossati of the former Town Hall, where Mayor Chiara Chimini and Deputy Mayor Vittoria Goi will present an official recognition to the champion. Giulia Conti, already awarded the CONI Gold Collar for Sporting Merit and boasting an illustrious Olympic career, is the Italian sailor with the most Olympic appearances after Alessandra Sensini.
