An event dedicated to urban surveillance will take place in Bardolino on Monday, November 11, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, at the Sala della Disciplina located at Borgo Garibaldi, 55. The event, titled “Integrated Urban Surveillance: Balancing Technology, Privacy, and Artificial Intelligence,” is aimed at law enforcement agencies and public administrators, with the primary goal of exploring issues related to the management of urban security systems and the use of artificial intelligence. The conference will feature industry experts and requires mandatory registration.
Mayor Daniele Bertasi has announced that the municipality is set to renew its surveillance system, intending to install approximately one hundred new cameras in the coming months. The procurement process for the works is currently underway and is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2025. The total investment will amount to 450,000 euros, partly financed by a contribution of 62,000 euros from the Ministry of the Interior, aimed at enhancing territorial control through a new license plate recognition system linked to local law enforcement agencies.
