A road accident occurred on November 7 in Castiglione delle Stiviere, where a 79-year-old woman was struck while crossing the street with a walker at a pedestrian crossing on Via Napoleone III. The driver, also 79 years old and a local resident, was behind the wheel of a Fiat Idea when she hit the victim without stopping to offer assistance, fleeing the scene of the accident.
The elderly woman sustained injuries that required the intervention of emergency medical services, who transported her in yellow code to the Civil Hospital of Brescia. The Carabinieri who arrived at the scene initiated the necessary investigations to identify the vehicle involved, and after locating the driver, they reported her for failing to provide assistance.
