A crucial meeting has been scheduled for Friday, November 22 at the headquarters of the Mountain Community of the Alto Garda Bresciano Park, to address issues related to infrastructure in the mid and upper Garda area. During the summit, discussions will focus on the traffic issues concerning the western Gardesana road, known as 45 bis, which is currently facing difficulties due to increased traffic caused by accidents and ongoing construction work. The meeting will be attended by the Regional Councillor for Infrastructure and Public Works of Lombardy, Claudia Terzi, along with the nine mayors of the Alto Garda Park.
Among the topics on the agenda will be potential solutions to alleviate traffic on the Gardesana, including the proposal for a road tunnel connecting Toscolano to Cunettone di Salò and a tunnel north of Gargnano. The construction of a new collector for Garda will also be discussed, which is necessary after 110 years of the current use of the Gardesana. Additionally, the meeting will cover the Garda Cycle Path and the possibility of an intermodal route that combines cycling paths with boat trips, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience and reducing the environmental impact in the area.
