The Amici Podisti Bresciani Group has announced the candidates for the title of Best Athlete of the Year 2024, an event that celebrates the achievements of its members in the running scene in Brescia. With over 4,166 members since 2014, the group has experienced a year full of competitions, including road races, track events, trail running, and mountain running. A total of 16 men and 20 women will compete for the “4th Trofeo Amici Podisti Bresciani,” with a panel of experts comprising sports club presidents, journalists, and coaches selecting three male and three female athletes.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Sanpolino sports center “Gabre Gabric,” with the date to be announced after the voting concludes. In past editions, athletes such as Eva Grisoni and Andrea Bonetti won in 2021, Stefania Cotti Cottini and Davide Bottarelli in 2022, as well as Monica Vagni and Diego Angella last year. The group’s administrators will also present a special award to one of the participants. This initiative highlights the commitment of local running athletes in promoting the passion for running within the Brescia community.
