The fourth edition of Garda Tourism Factory, held on Wednesday, December 11, at the Palacongressi in Riva del Garda, highlighted the importance of sustainable tourism for the local economy. In 2023, total spending by guests in Garda Trentino reached 543.4 million euros, contributing to an overall economic output of 673 million euros thanks to direct, indirect, and induced effects. During the event, experts and institutional representatives discussed strategies to improve the quality of life for residents and the social value generated by tourism, with guest satisfaction rates nearing 90%.
The central theme of the meeting was “Why Tourism,” which allowed for the presentation of preliminary results from research conducted by the University of Trento. The data indicates a growing tourism system, highlighting how every euro spent by visitors can generate additional value for the area. The president of Apt Garda Dolomiti, Silvio Rigatti, emphasized the commitment to balancing tourism attractiveness with the well-being of residents, while looking to the future with projects like Garda Trentino NextGen, aimed at engaging new generations in the field of sustainable tourism.
