Recent operations by the Financial Police have resulted in the seizure of 800 kg of illegal fireworks and 391 homemade devices deemed “deadly” in the province of Brescia, with a particular focus on Sarezzo. During targeted inspections, the officers identified an individual residing in Sarezzo who was in possession of 316 explosive devices with lethal potential and 200 kg of fireworks sold through social media channels without the necessary permits. The explosive materials were stored in a cellar within a residential complex, alongside gas cylinders, thus posing a serious risk to public safety.
The operation also extended to other locations such as Sirmione and Palazzolo sull’Oglio, where an additional 376 kg of unauthorized fireworks were seized. In total, four individuals have been reported for offenses related to illegal trade and possession of explosive materials, one of whom was arrested in the act. These actions are part of the Financial Police’s commitment to ensuring public safety and compliance with regulations regarding pyrotechnic products.
