A retired resident of Gargnano, who had gone missing from his home, was tragically found dead in the lake. The 87-year-old, who lived in a building on Via Vittorio Veneto, did not show up for a meeting with friends in Briano on Montegargnano in the afternoon, prompting acquaintances to report his absence to the authorities. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the door open and his personal belongings inside.
The search began in the surrounding areas, including the town center and the districts of Villa and Bogliaco, but yielded no immediate results. Subsequently, the Fire Brigade and the Coast Guard expanded their operations to the waters off Piazza Feltrinelli. At 9:00 PM last night, the elderly man’s body was recovered.
