Mayor Davide Sandrini has attributed the worsening situation to the failure to extend the management contract for the parking lots, which lapsed two years ago, leaving the area free of charge and unmonitored. Currently, there is consideration of converting the parking areas into paid zones, with potential measures such as the installation of surveillance systems to enhance security. Former Mayor Dal Cero defended the previous decision, stating that free parking was intended to alleviate the difficulties faced by patients and visitors and that there was a plan to improve the parking facilities and surrounding traffic flow.
