A tragic road accident struck Montichiari on January 6, marking the first victim on the roads of Brescia in 2025. Oksana Litvinova, a 45-year-old woman of Ukrainian origin residing in Brescia, lost her life after losing control of her car during a botched overtaking maneuver, crashing into a milk tanker coming from the opposite direction. The incident occurred around 11:30 AM, and the impact was fatal for the woman, who was found lifeless upon the arrival of emergency services.
Also in the car was the victim’s twelve-year-old son, who sustained serious injuries and was trapped in the wreckage. Rescued by firefighters, he was rushed to the Civil Hospital of Brescia, where he was fortunately declared out of danger. This tragic event highlights the growing concerns regarding road safety in the province of Brescia and on Italian roads in general, drawing attention to the need for more effective measures to prevent fatal accidents.
