The Lombardy Regional Council has recently approved a resolution that makes the certificate of non-competitive sports fitness free for school sports events. This measure is part of a broader initiative to promote health and healthy lifestyles among young people, involving a total investment of up to 300,000 euros to ensure healthcare support during sporting events organized in collaboration with the Regional School Office and AREU. Federica Picchi, Undersecretary to the Presidency with a mandate for Sport and Youth, emphasized the importance of strengthening the local network dedicated to sports medicine.
Additionally, experimental projects are planned in Milan to combat bullying and youth violence, with funding of up to 30,000 euros. Sacco Hospital has been designated as the reference center for Sports Medicine and Sports Pathology, while the Sports Medicine service of ASST Valtellina remains the primary facility in the area. Luciana Volta, Director of the Regional School Office for Lombardy, highlighted how these initiatives are aimed at listening to the needs of young people and improving the quality of services offered in the school sports sector.
