AIS Veneto has launched a series of 32 courses for aspiring Sommeliers across more than 20 locations in the region, aimed at promoting the wine culture through a comprehensive training program divided into three levels. The courses, which will commence between January and March, provide participants with up-to-date tools to navigate the world of wine, covering everything from the fundamentals of viticulture and oenology to food and wine pairings. Gianpaolo Breda, President of AIS Veneto, emphasizes the importance of conscious and responsible consumption, highlighting how knowledge of wine can help enhance local food and wine products.
In addition to the Sommelier courses, a new program dedicated to extra virgin olive oil has been introduced, titled “Olio, è tempo di conoscerlo,” which offers 15 lessons on various aspects of oil production and tasting. This course aims to equip participants with the necessary tools to recognize the quality of olive oil and understand its nutraceutical properties. For those looking to further deepen their knowledge in the wine sector, a tasting of wines from the Vinetia Guide is scheduled to take place at the international exhibition center in Santa Lucia di Piave on March 23, 2025.
