World Cancer Day: Free Vaccines and Screenings Announced. On the occasion of World Cancer Day, celebrated on February 4th, the Lombardy Region has launched an important initiative dedicated to the fight against cancer. From February 4th to 10th, citizens will have the opportunity to benefit from free screenings for cervical, colorectal, breast, and prostate cancers, along with vaccinations for cancer patients. These activities are organized in collaboration with local ATS and ASST to promote prevention and raise awareness about health.
In the Brescia area, ASSTs are implementing a prevention program that also includes HCV testing and anti-smoking counseling. This year’s campaign focuses on the theme ‘United by Unique,’ highlighting the importance of personalized care in the fight against cancer. Citizens are encouraged to actively participate in the planned initiatives to help spread the culture of prevention.
