A truck accident occurred during the night between Wednesday, January 29, and Thursday, January 30, in Montichiari, involving a 44-year-old truck driver. The alert was triggered around 3:30 AM when the man lost control of the vehicle on Provincial Road 237, causing the rocks loaded on board to spill across the roadway. To ensure safety during the recovery operations, traffic was temporarily closed, and special vehicles were dispatched to manage the situation.
The driver sustained only minor injuries and was transported in yellow code to the Poliambulanza hospital in Brescia, thanks to the intervention of the Croce Bianca rescuers. Law enforcement has launched an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident, hypothesizing that the overturning may have occurred due to a loss of stability while navigating a curve.
