The Pharmaceutical Bank is launching a new solidarity initiative in Brescia, with the Medicine Collection Days scheduled from Tuesday, February 4 to Monday, February 10, 2025. In over 120 pharmacies across the province, citizens are invited to donate over-the-counter medications to help those living in conditions of health poverty. Last year, the collection resulted in more than 588,000 packages, valued at nearly 5.2 million euros, which were distributed to over two thousand charitable organizations throughout Italy.
During the initiative, volunteers from welfare organizations will be present in the pharmacies to inform donors about specific needs and the use of the collected medications. Clara Mottinelli, president of Federfarma Brescia, emphasizes the importance of pharmacies’ commitment to supporting the community and combating inequality in access to health care. Francesco Paracini, head of the Pharmaceutical Bank in Brescia, highlights how each donation can restore hope to struggling families in Brescia.
