This morning, Wednesday, February 12, a body was discovered near the railway tracks in Desenzano del Garda. The intervention of law enforcement, including the Carabinieri and the State Police, took place around 10 AM on Via Ronchedone, where medical personnel could only confirm the death of a 33-year-old man. The situation led to a temporary suspension of train services on the Milan-Venice route, particularly between Desenzano and Peschiera.
As a result of the incident, there were significant delays in train operations, with waiting times reaching up to 120 minutes for High-Speed and Eurocity lines. Trenitalia reported that several trains experienced extended travel times, including the FR 9718 from Trieste Centrale to Milano Centrale and the EC 41 heading to Venice Santa Lucia. Investigations are underway to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death.
