TREMOSINE, STRADA DELLA FORRA: WORK CONTINUES FOR REOPENING BY EASTER Efforts to reopen the Sp38 Strada della Forra in Tremosine are progressing with the goal of completing the work by Easter. Today, a meeting was held to define the timeline for operations near the tunnel, where a blasting operation took place on February 7 to remove a hazardous rock outcrop. Subsequent inspections confirmed the absence of significant issues, thanks in part to the installation of sensors that recorded no signs of instability.
In the coming days, a second blasting operation is scheduled to remove a smaller section of unstable rock. During the meeting, which was attended by the President of the Province, Emanuele Moraschini, along with various experts, the intervention project was presented. This plan includes reinforcements both inside the tunnel and on the external cliff face. The work will be carried out by three specialized companies and monitored weekly by a committee composed of local representatives and project designers. An update scheduled for March 7 will provide further details on the exact reopening date, which is expected to be one-way in anticipation of future planned interventions starting in October.
