The Renewable Energy Community (CER) of Gargnano, Tignale, and Tremosine has been officially launched, an initiative aimed at promoting the use of photovoltaics among local citizens and businesses. The event took place on Thursday, February 27, at 6:00 PM at the former Town Hall of Gargnano, featuring speeches from mayors Giovanni Albini, Daniele Bonassi, and Battista Girardi, along with a presentation by the operational director of Garda Uno, Massimiliano Faini. The CER was established following a significant planning phase, and work will now commence on the development of shared photovoltaic systems.
The meeting aimed to inform the community about how the CER operates and to gather expressions of interest from potential producers looking to install new photovoltaic systems. These participants will be eligible for a PNRR grant of up to 40% on installation costs, as well as the opportunity to sell any surplus energy not consumed at a premium rate. Benefits for CER members include savings on energy bills, access to dedicated incentives, and increased energy independence.
