The Municipality of Sirmione has announced significant measures that will temporarily alter local traffic. Starting from March 10 and lasting for five working days, the roundabout at Piazza Unità d’Italia, at the intersection with via Brescia-Verona, will be closed to vehicular traffic in the lane connecting the Colombare Center to Desenzano and Peschiera. This action is necessary to allow urgent repair work on a water leak by Acque Bresciane. During the construction, the other lanes of the roundabout will remain accessible, and urban transport services will be maintained with modified routes.
Additionally, from March 10, via Santa Maria Maggiore will be closed to traffic 24 hours a day for pavement restoration, while the intersection between via Vittorio Emanuele II and via Antiche Mura will experience a reduction in lane width. On March 3, work will also begin on resurfacing roads damaged by pine tree roots in various areas of the territory, including sidewalks and parking lots. These interventions aim to enhance the safety and efficiency of traffic in Sirmione.
