A virtual tour dedicated to the artistic heritage of Bardolino has recently been launched, offering the opportunity to explore six historic churches in the town directly from one’s device. Thanks to an initiative by the Municipality, supported by funding for small and medium-sized art cities, users can access the website www.sitistoricibardolino.it to virtually visit locations such as the parish church of San Nicolò and the Pieve of Santa Maria in Cisano. The tour includes details about the artworks present and also provides an audio guide for those wishing to deepen their on-site visit.
The aim of the project is to enhance the enjoyment of the local cultural heritage, which is primarily composed of religious buildings rich in artistic elements. Ben Peretti, who is responsible for the digital mapping, emphasized the importance of new technologies in promoting places of worship. Information is also available in English and German, making the tour accessible to the many tourists visiting Bardolino. Mayor Daniele Bertasi highlighted how this initiative represents a step towards a “smart” enjoyment of local beauty, further promoting tourism in the area.
