The 23rd Bossoni Brescia Art Marathon, scheduled for tomorrow, March 9, is set to be one of the major sporting events of the season, with over 5,000 participants expected on the streets of the city. Athletes will compete in three competitive distances: the marathon (42.195 km), the half marathon (21.097 km), and the BCC Brescia 10k (10 km), alongside two recreational events, the Sportland Easy Run 10k and the Family Walking (5 km). This edition will also serve as the launch for the “Olympic Hearts” project, which anticipates the upcoming Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milan-Cortina 2026.
The races will kick off at 8:30 AM from Piazza Loggia, while the Sportland Easy Run will start at 8:40 AM and the Family Walking at 9:30 AM from Piazza Vittoria. The route will pass through the most iconic historical sites of the city, making the event not just a sporting competition but also an opportunity to discover local beauty. Additionally, various musical bands will be present along the route to further enhance the festive atmosphere. This year, the event is dedicated to Walter Bassi, a marathon runner who passed away in 2023, highlighting the connection between sport and community in the city of Brescia.
