An informative meeting titled “Garda Cycle Path? Absolutely Not!” will take place on Thursday, March 13, at 8:30 PM at the Scipio Sighele middle school in Riva del Garda. The event is organized by the Alto Garda and Ledro Environmental Protection Coordination and the Interregional Coordination for the Protection of Lake Garda. During the meeting, details of the technical-economic feasibility project for the stretch of the Garda Cycle Path from Sperone to Ponale will be presented, featuring speakers such as Maria Elisabetta Montagni, Paolo Matteotti, and Paolo Ciresa. The promoting committees express concerns regarding the environmental impact that the project could have on the local nature and landscape.
Furthermore, the speakers will emphasize that there is a sustainable alternative in the form of boat transport, a solution already supported by the Lombardy Region for the stretch from Gardone to Limone. The meeting is open to everyone, including administrators and citizens interested in the protection of the environment in the Alto Garda area.
