Gavardo experienced moments of great concern on the evening of Friday, March 7, when an 11-year-old boy was struck by a motorist while playing ball with a friend on Via Cavalier Angelo Bonomi. The incident occurred around 7:00 PM, prompting the local emergency services and the Valle Sabbia Police to be alerted. Volunteers from Roè Volciano quickly arrived at the scene with an ambulance and a medical vehicle, providing initial care to the child, who was then transported to the pediatric emergency room at the Civil Hospital of Brescia for further evaluation.
The boy was admitted under a yellow code, as a leg fracture is suspected. Currently, the circumstances of the incident are under investigation by the local police, who are working to reconstruct what happened in order to clarify the responsibilities involved in the accident.
