The Sustainability Festival kicked off on March 20 and will run until June 21, featuring over 100 spring events ranging from sustainable walks to seminars and workshops. Now in its ninth edition, the event is organized by the cultural association Lacus and supported by the Lombardy Region, the ASM Foundation, and various local associations. During the presentation conference, Environment Councillor Giorgio Maione emphasized the festival’s importance in promoting ecological transition and raising awareness among citizens about sustainability issues.
The program is divided into three main sectors: “Seeds of Sustainability,” dedicated to conferences on major global topics; “Sustainable Walks,” which offer experiences of mindful tourism; and the “World Gardesane Days,” where international events are contextualized to the local area. Additionally, the festival celebrates the European Year of Digital Citizenship Education with events focused on new technologies. This initiative represents an opportunity to reflect on the significance of small daily actions in building a more sustainable future.
