A 23-year-old hiker fell ill while on Monte Pizzocolo, at an altitude of 1,455 meters, yesterday, Thursday, March 13. The incident required the intervention of the mountain rescue, which was activated to assist the young man engaged in hiking in Toscolano Maderno. Operators from the Valsabbia Station of the Brescia Delegation arrived at the emergency site via quad bikes and received support from the air rescue team dispatched from Bergamo.
After being located by the medical personnel, the young man was rescued and transported to the hospital in Gavardo. Fortunately, his condition is not considered serious, and the intervention was classified as a green code. The operations were carried out without significant complications, highlighting the readiness of the mountain rescue services.
